The Callaway HX Pearl is a ball that is made specifically for female golfers. It’s designed to be extremely soft, yet provide exceptional distance. The updated Pearl utilises a resilient, low-compression core and combines it with the Hex Aerodynamics that have been implemented into the rest of Callaway’s line of balls.
At the center of this ball is a polybutadiene core that Callaway researchers have optimised to have higher resilience than similar balls. The lower compression provides more speed and distance, but maintains the soft feel that many women golfers require. The biggest advantage is that golfers with lower swing speeds will see a distinct boost to the lengths of their drives off the tee. Covering the core is an ionomer mantle that helps the ball generate even faster ball speed.

The cover of the ball is where many of the latest technological advances have occurred. As with most balls, Callaway uses an ionomer polymer that is incredibly durable, yet soft. The difference is in the dimples. A new hexagon shape and pattern, which Callaway calls Hex Aerodynamics, has been molded into the cover.
Each hex shaped dimple has depth created by sub-hex shapes. These shapes provide more lift for the ball as it flies above the fairway. Another advancement in Callaway ball technology is the seam, or lack thereof. The new hexagon pattern allows this ball to be injection molded without the need for any type of seam, which provides for less drag than nearly any other ball on the market. A final touch on the cover is the pearlised finish. The sheen created by this finish makes both beautiful and easy to spot on the off chance you should end up in the rough.
